It’s been 223 years since the first vaccine and the immunization process is a basic concept taught at primary school level but stupid cunts always find a way of running good things for the rest of the us. In this post will be talking about anti-vaxxers a bunch of primates that think it’s a good idea to avoid vaccinations and to prevent children from getting vaccinated. They annoy me the most out of all the topics covered because they are not just hurting themselves but also young kids who don't have a say in it, anti-vaxxers all have probably been vaccinated as kids, the real victims are the children of anti-vax parents.
Vaccines are one of the greatest discovery in medicine and there are thousands of scientist and doctors to back up their legitimacy, yet the World Health Organization listed vaccine hesitancy as one of the ten threats to global health in 2019. anti-vaxxers are becoming a serious threat and they have already endangered many innocent people. A French woman and her unvaccinated 5 years old have reintroduced measles to Costa Rica, there hasn’t been a domestic case of measles in Costa Rica since 2006 and an imported case since 2014. anti-vaxxers have real and harmful effects. Anti-vaxxers are already starting to harming herd immunity, for herd immunity to be effective at least 95% of the population needs to be vaccinated, herd immunity is vital for protecting people who are unable to get vaccinations such as people with damaged immune systems or going through a taxing medical procedure. People who genuinely can't get vaccinated are the ones who would suffer most from an infection so it's our responsibility to keep the vaccination rates up so we can have effective herd immunity and protect the vulnerable but anti-vaxxers think it’s totally fine to raise their children unvaccinated and to avoid vaccinations when new diseases pop up. anti-vaxxers are also to blame for the rise in measles cases in the united states and across Europe.
The arguments and reasoning anti-vaxxers use to defend their beliefs are just as stupid as they are and all have been rebutted by science, One of the most popular is the idea is that vaccinations cause autism, anti-vaxxers believe that giving vaccinations to children will lead to them developing autism, despite the whole medical community saying otherwise, there is no proof that vaccinations can cause autism and many studies have been made to disprove this claim and yet anti-vaxxers hold on to this belief and try to sell it as fact.
Another belief that anti-vaxxers have is that vaccines are dangerous because they contain what they are trying to prevent, this belief comes from ignorance and a lack of basic knowledge on vaccination and the immunization process which is taught to primary school students.
They also believe in "Vaccine overload" a non-medical term used by anti-vaxxers, they believe that taking multiple vaccines in one go and have multiple shots in the same day is dangerous and can overload the immune system of children and babies, this is simply not the case as children are exposed to millions of bacteria from the moment they leave the womb and doctors have said that the vaccine is completely safe to be taken together.
One of the most hilarious anti-vax belief that I have come across while researching is that vaccines are a method for the government to keep us under check and control us, this is by far one of the most ridiculous conspiracy theories and I love it. I’ll be making sure to wear a tin hat to my next gp appointment who knows what else the government has up their sleeves.
The previous points I talked about I can understand someone being stupid enough to believe or tricked into believing but when anti-vaxxers say that doctors agree with them or their doctor told them vaccines are harmful it pisses me off because that's bullshit. They are just lying no real doctor would agree with them and they talk about all the doctors they know they are just making shit up to sound like they are right. The only time I accept vaccinations is when a couple realise they are not ready for a child too late for an abortion. Anti-vaxxers really don’t deserve the luxury of modern medicine but they probably already dropped it for a homeopathic remedy they pay a fortune for. Vaccinate yourself and your kids, if you know an anti-vaxxer talk some sense into them or get them as far away from your life as possible.
